DESIGN STRATEGY
Mustard’s bagels are handmade, “craggly” and paired with surprising, untraditional flavors, and we wanted the branding to reflect that.
The hand-drawn type and custom illustrations—often scattered, often a little messy—evoke the playfulness at the heart of their recipes.
TYPOGRAPHY & COLOR SYSTEMS
A simple structured font is paired with off-set type and mixed illustrations to add surprise and movement to the copy. The color palette heroes a deep, classic green and beige, but brings playfulness with pops of bright colors. All colors were chosen with the color of the bagel in mind.
